Abstract

Solid Waste Management is the crucial challenge faced by the world in the present scenario. Improper management of solid waste is creating many environmental and health hazards in society. The knowledge and attitude about solid waste management have an influence on their waste management practices. Though people have knowledge with regard to solid waste management practices many of them burn plastics and throw them in public places. There is an emergent need to focus greater attention on this issue. The governments both central and state should enforce developmental friendly policies with the help of the local bodies to save our environment.
